Book Character

The school is doing an Olympic reading challenge for the kids.  Today as part of that they were supposed to dress as their favorite book character.  Since I didn't realize until last night at about 8 we really were pressed for time and had to find things around the house.  All things considered I think they turned out looking great.

 Caellum of course if Harry Potter.  I told him to grab a church shirt and his gray sweater and then I went to Javin's room and found his webelo neckerchief and tied it like a tie.  His cape is from an old vampire costume and then we printed off the Hogwarts logo.  The glasses were from a project Javin did last year on Benjamin Franklin.

Javin is Rand from the Wheel of Time series.  This is a favorite of Ryan's and so he has passed that onto Javin.   Rand is a farm boy who had a cloak that he wears on his adventures.  Glad we had a Jedi cloak to use as a travel cape.

The boys had tons of fun dressing up and I guess it's fun to have a day where you can without it being Halloween.  I was glad that I didn't have to purchase anything and we were able to throw these together.  

It's been awhile!!

We've been having so much fun with our family and friends in Utah and I just keep forgetting to post all about it.  Since I've moved back my blog hasn't seemed as important. So, just a few updates.

JAVIN:

Jaivin is 10 now and in 5th grade.  He is having lots of fun and is loving that this year he has been able to do overnight field trips.  He got braces and likes changing the colors to match the seasons.  Right now he has blue and orange for the Denver Broncos.  I love that he's getting older and is able to help out so much.

CAELLUM:

Caellum turned 7 and is excited to turn 8 and be baptized, too bad he has to wait clear until December.  He's in 1st grade and is doing excellent, especially reading.  He also is tons of help with the kids especially Senendra because she just loves him.  She's always calling him mom and asking him to "hold you."  He's gotten quite social and is always playing with his friends.


ZADEK

Zadek started preschool and sunbeams.  He's is still so full of fun and mischief.  He really loves to be crazy and is learning his months of the year, numbers, and how to spell his name.  He makes me laugh all the time!


SENEDRA

Senedra is 1 1/2 already.  She started nursery, which is just lovely for me.  The last time we went to her heart specialist he said that her whole in her heart is getting smaller and we now have to only visit him once a year!!  We're hopeful that it will heal.  She is walking up and down stairs, jumping and loves her babies!!  I think it's interesting how much she loves babies and all of their accessories.  But, she also loves balls and playing with her older brothers.  It's amazing how much she learns from Zadek


We've had a super fun time being back in Utah and having so much fun with cousins and grandparents.  It's weird to think we've been in our house for 2 years.  It's almost the longest we've lived anywhere.  I started teaching piano and have joined the neighborhood babysitting co-op.   Ryan is always learning and expanding on his language skills and is still playing his weekly roll playing game, which he has now extended to the boys.

Spring Pictures

I took the kids this week to Camera Shy to take new pictures.  I realize it's been forever since I last posted I was waiting on pictures from Ryan's phone but since I'm still waiting on those I figured I'd at least put these cute pictures on here.  We also had a wonderful trip to Florida, Christmas, Valentines and St Patricks Day.  I will probably do a long post with those pictures at some other point.  And Senendra also turned 9 months old so I'll update stats also:)  But until then.  Here are my cute children.  

It took Senendra a little while to warm up to the camera and photographer.  Luckily she has lots of older brothers who were trying to make her smile.

Zadek is just always full of smiles with those big bright eyes.

I'm so glad Javin actually smiled.  He's usually busy making faces but these turned out cute

I think this one is so cute of Senedra I just wish the boys were looking at the camera.  They were told to look at Sister and they are all doing that very well.  They take great direction.  

More Halloween FUN

The Boys

 My parents did a Halloween party this year where we made JUNKINS.   They're super fun and cute.  You put junk into the pumpkins and then make faces and such.  Then we had dinner and did smores around the fire.  The kids love to do this.

 They also had a bunch of leaves that the kids swept into a pile and played in.  I love that Zadek is midair in this picture..

 On Halloween we went trick or treating in grandma Wendy's neighborhood.  Here are the kids as they're leaving.  They had lots of fun and ended up with tons of candy.  Zadek ran right along behind everyone and his wings were flapping.  He looked like he was flying.

Halloween

Our Halloween festivities started with the annual party at Thompson's House.  It was tons of fun as always.  We had games, food and treats for all.

On Halloween after school we went to the grandparents to trick or treat!!

The kids had tons of FUN and Zadek ended up with the biggest haul of all because he was so cute everyone kept giving him extras.  

Corbelly's

We had SOOOO MUCH FUN at Cornbelly's with Ryan's family this year!  Chris and Keith got us all together for a day filled with fun and laughter.  The kids played and played and then we came home had naps and went back later in the night with the dads and played some more.  TONS of fun!!

 Chase was so nice to take Zadek down this huge slide with him.  They were catching some serious air.

Senedra is 4 months old!!

OK I don't know how this happened but my little angel is already 4 months old.  She is super fun and is rolling over.  She tries to grab everything and is thoroughly entertained by her crazy older brothers.  She is such a doll and we just love her!!

Her stats:

Weight:  14 lbs 7 oz  66%

Height:  25 1/2 in  90%

Head:  40.7 cm  39%

So she's still growing.  Her weight has dropped a little bit but her height has gone up so she's growing beautifully and still has no symptoms of her heart defect :)
